Pastor Olen T. Blash
Olen T. Blash, a native of Atlanta, Georgia was educated in the Atlanta Public School System. In 1996 and 1998 respectively, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Morris Brown College and an Electrical Engineering Degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Operating under the belief that one must be trained to “serve God’s people”, he continued his educational pursuit by completing two years of study at the Interdenominational Theological Center (Morehouse School of Religion) and completed a Master of Divinity Degree with a concentration in Church Leadership and Administration from Amridge University formerly Southern Christian University.
Olen is the founding Pastor of Living Waters Bible Church in Atlanta, GA where God is reaching a new generation of believers through refreshing worship, relevant work, and realistic witnessing. In the past, he served as the Director of Leadership and Ministry Development at the Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church – The House of Hope- of Decatur, Georgia, under the Pastoral leadership of E. Dewey Smith, Jr. As Director of Leadership and Ministry Development, his responsibilities included but were not limited to, developing quality Godly leaders and enhancing ministries. Before assuming this position, he served in various other capacities within the ministry including Armourbearer to the Pastor and teacher of Personal Evangelism, Revelation and Romans classes.
Olen heeded God’s call in 1999 and was licensed to preach and teach the Gospel on December 9, 2001, under the Pastoral leadership of Gregory A. Sutton at the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church, where he served as Armourbearer and Youth Pastor.
Olen is connected in matrimonial covenant to Toi M. Blash, J.D, his wife of 19 years and together, they are the parents of the love of their life – daughter Destiny, Joi.
